It’s easy to get carried away when you’re busy sewing, but your back won’t thank you for it!  it’s important to take regular breaks and stretch out tense muscles.

Here’s a quick and easy stretching routine for sewists.  I suggest stretching every hour and after every sewing session.

Stretch slowly and carefully.  You’re looking for a gentle pulling or stretching sensation in your muscles.

Once you feel the muscles pulling, wait in that position for 10 seconds.  Then slowly release the stretch.

Repeat each stretch 3 times.
