A correctly positioned computer screen is crucial for good posture. Here’s how to do it.
– Sit at your desk.
– Adjust your chair so that your elbows are level with your desk. Your forearms should be able to rest comfortably on the desk.
– Position your screen directly in front of you. You shouldn’t need to twist or turn to see the monitor.
– The centre of your screen should be roughly eye level. If you’re looking down or leaning forwards to see it, it is probably too low.
– Most screens are adjustable so you should be able to change the height pretty easily. You can also rest the screen on a box or two, reams of paper or on a special monitor stand.
And there you have it – a correctly positioned screen!
