Hooray – it’s Spring Bank Holiday weekend!  I hope you have lots of fun things planned for the weekend and a chance to rest too.

Read on for links to my favourite articles from the past month and an update on what’s happening in my world.

  1. What are those floaty things in your eyes?

2.  Exercise appears to lower your risk of 13 types of cancer.

3. The amazing benefits of walking, including reduced risk of heart disease, hip fracture and stroke.

4.  Gardening is good for you.  “A spot of gardening not only gives you a good physical workout but reduces pain and anxiety, too.”

5. I really love these crocheted anatomy models.

What I’ve Been Up To

May has been quite a whirlwind!

I’ve been working at Ashlins as usual and a lot of my spare time has been taken up with our wedding and honeymoon preparations.  I’m also trying to clear a lot of my to do list before I go away.   Thankfully I’m nearly there now!

I’ve enjoyed some live music this month; Father John Misty at the Roundhouse and The Burning Hell at Oslo in Hackney.  Both were great!

I mentioned last month that we were working on our garden.  We now have a shed and very thick, luxurious lawn.  The flower beds are still a little sparse but we’re starting to get some beautiful flowers.   As promised last month, here’s  a photo:
