Do you look like a shrimp? Do you sit with your back bent and slouched forwards?
Maybe you have good posture at work but collapse on to the sofa as soon as you get home. Or perhaps you spend your commute hunched forwards, staring down at your phone?
Sitting like a shrimp is not great for your back. The slouched position puts extra strain on the muscles and ligaments across your back and shoulders. Over time this could lead to stiffness, pain and ‘knots’ forming in your muscles.
Next time you sit down ask yourself if you look like a shrimp. If you do just push yourself up so you’re sitting on your sitting bones, you have a small curve in your low back and your shoulders are relaxed (not hunched forwards).
