Do you suffer from back pain? Or maybe an aching neck and shoulders? You’ve come to the right place!
My name is Sarah Oliver and I am an Osteopath based in Walthamstow, East London. I treat muscle, joint and nerve problems using safe, gentle manual techniques.
I will listen carefully to your problem before examining your posture and movement. I might test some of your joints or muscles to give me a better idea of the cause of your problem. Based on what I find I’ll put together a treatment plan of osteopathy, stretches, postural advice and lifestyle changes. I may also refer you to your GP or another therapist if necessary.
Most people start feeling better after a couple of sessions.
I trained at BCOM in north west London and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine and diplomas in Osteopathy and Naturopathy.

What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a natural therapy that focuses on your muscles, joints and nerves.
Osteopathy is commonly used to help back pain, sciatic pain, neck pain and other joint problems. Many people use osteopathy to relieve stiffness and aching and to improve flexibility.
Treatment involves a variety of techniques such as mobilising and stretching joints, massage style work on to your muscles, stronger joint manipulation where you may hear a cracking or popping noise, and muscle stretches.
I also give stretches and exercises, lifestyle advice and ergonomic advice.
The general aim is to achieve balanced posture & movement in your body.
We believe that this removes barriers to the healing process and therefore helps your body heal itself.
Osteopathy is a very safe therapy; serious side effects are extremely rare.
Osteopathy can be used alongside other treatments including standard medical intervention. I will advise you to speak to your GP for further investigation and treatment if necessary.
